What about bullet drop on handheld weapons?
I noticed you guys did not add any bullet drop and considering that this is supposed to be a realism mod you should at it.
I'm sure you know this but all you have to do is add this line
ObjectTemplate.GravityModifier 1
to the weapon tweak files.
I believe the value one is around equal to -9.8 m/s which is the effect of gravity on objects.

Bah sorry for my mis read. I skim read it as useual and came to the conclusion you meant pistols. Sorry. Allthough i thought bullet drop was in PR? mabe im mistaken. Its certanly in the sniper weapons.
Id like to add this page however incase the mods are going to include full bullet physics if its possible.

as you can see that mouthfull came from a google search a while back. It goes in to detail at the bottom about aiming at moving distant targets etc etc.

dude i know there is bullet drop for snipers. You have to aim above the head to hit them at distances. Also how do you know that its not a set drop after a particular distance? i doubt it wil be a smooth transition from your gun to there head. It probably works by *If Distance is 'x' or less then no bullet drop else if distance is past x but not up to x then drop this amount etc* it will not have a realistic perfect drop like real bullets do.

Acutally nevermind. Battlefield 2 does have bullet drop implemented for all handheld weapons by default. I set the velocity of the m4a1 and the m24 to 10 meters a second. I commenced to fire at a wall and each tiny step back i took made the bullet holes appear lower and lower. The drop is realistic in this game. It is not set so that it only drops every say 10 feet for example like you were suggesting. The bullets' path actually do curve downward realistically. This is for all handheld weapons and not just sniper rifles.

I was on a hill on the dragon valley map and decided to take a pot shot at an attack heli just in view going left across my screen, i aimed about 6 inches ahead and scored myself the drivers head and the heli crashed!!! have had no such luck with shots like that since.thugnasty wrote:Acutally nevermind.
