Mabe just a small pair for the majority of shooters or even only a small pair for the designated sharpshooter for the squad, large pair for sniper/scout squads and commanders - Tanks and field commander.

Aw, shit, I thought you were offering free binoculars.*goes off and sulks* :x

But seriously, I am not sure myself of the basis of issue for binoculars these days, but some class will probably have them. We do want to give classes as many utilitarian items (and a variety of them) as we can. I only wish we could code in the indirect fire spotting system of BF'42/BFV to go with some of them.

A pig just flew by outside my window. I hear they are playing 'winter wonderland' in hell.

WTF?! How could Eddie possible not know something!? This is a bad omen...

On the actual topic of binoculars: Give them to us! We need them bad. I say either the squad leader has them, or every class has them, but i dunno whats realistic either...

Thats a real problem in all arcade games that have the view of, "how can i utilise myself with this weapon, or this hat, grenade, tank" etc etc. They focus more on utilisation rather than application. Sure, unlocked weapons in BF2 add an incentive to play, but I have yet to hear of a USMC choosing a SA80A2 over his M16. but, bincos i feel, worked for me really well and i miss them in bf2. however, if you add binocs, you need to remove something else... and all becomes very difficult.

A sniper didnt need a binoc because he have a scope.
Only the spotter is equipt with a binocular.

I still think snipers should have binos that can tell them the range of a target which then can be input in to the sniper for accurate shooting. Sort of scout and sniper in one since no one would ever play spotter for a sniper...

I think hes talking about when you had bincos in BF42/BFV, you can call for arty, then whoever is in the Priest, Howy, SCUD, etc. could hit a button and view the spot where the guy with binocs called for arty...hope that made sense... :?
