But there is one problem, we can't wait no longer for playing it so you know what you have to do.

Unfortunately I'm sure any such map would empty servers whenever it came up in rotation.Clypp wrote:The problem with night maps is they are either not dark enough to require the NVGs. I want a map so dark that NVGs are absolutely required to see anything except in lighted areas.
This map looks *really* bloody nice, but I pray you don't go too hardcore on the lighting settings - if you're unlucky enough to have your computer set up in a non-optimal location with bad lightning in the room, dark maps can end up being impossible to navigate. I try to be careful about such things but I still think I'd end up upping the brightness on my monitor when playing this map..
My point is, please err on the side of caution and everyone'll be happier.
Screens look awesome, keep it up!
Oh, almost forgot, I have one comment re: the screens you posted: Tiled roads aren't typically bumpy irl, this one looks rather odd in that regard. Minor detail but something I did notice without really looking for oddities.

With regards to the lighting, if you have a dark monitor you can adjust the brightness in your nvidia/ati control panel which will help (I did this on my bro's computer cos his is really dark). I'm also hoping to get nightvision working for it

hehe! That's very much dependent on performance. I'll certainly experiment with it in a few weeks when I'm nearing completion of the test build. The biggest issue is view distance; at the moment the view distance is fairly low (cos there's a lot of objects/undergrowth/overgrowth), and it looks a little odd from up high with the terrain disappearing. We'll have to wait and seeTeek wrote:OohH!
