A bigger punishment for dying?

Well I'm surprised no one has used the famed "cut a run" line with their "coward one. As its pretty much of the same level of thought ...
As for being cowards, charging a tank/squad/enemy hard point whilst knowing you'll spawn back in 30 so seconds in mind isn't courage. Doing it knowing that if you fail you'll have a minute to wait. That demands courage and abnegation for your team as you have to make it count.
As I believe Audie Murphy was facing a very long spawn timer (he probably pissed off one of the Admins
) his actions are considered as a living legend.
If he'd kept spawn charging them, he would have been considered a Noob.
This longer timer help promotes staying alive as you are no good to your team dead. In the end its not even about punishing you on a personal level, its about having one less team mate backing your squads/teams back.
Its that one man that was missing to cover an entrance, to spot that armor or to cap that flag quicker just before yours goes down . You win as a team or you lose as individuals.

Definitely not, they will still try to capture & defend flags. They just might stop running randomly to different places and start to coordinate with their squad. Alone you die, in a squad you survive. Not only you have medics near you to heal you but you also have guys to cover your six and to help you cross a street etc.

The guy was so small the enemy just couldn't get a bead on him. All the larger guys round him bit the bullets

Real Tactics would probably keep you alive longer, but since there are so many nilla noobs, you can't do shit because there always charging you in full auto.Jeeves wrote:If you want to punish for dying then you are only promoting cowardness. Therefore (@ everyone) don't charge a one manned HMMWV into a flag area.

I sugest to set spawn times like this:
Lets say 15 sec respawn and aditional 15 sec in penalties
And on for every kill you make you earn one second back.
... so your total max respawn is 30 sec if you suck and 15 if you own!
this way we will keep equal ammount of active players dooring entire round and not (as it is now) that we lose active players through round due loonger and longer spawn waiting...
and now set 2 server profiles:
1. PRO (with 15 sec. respawn + 15 sec. penyalty time)
2. Newbie (with 15 sec. respawn + no penalty time)
this only goes for soldiers, vheicles respawn is allways as it shud be for game balance ourposes!

Personally I like the +1s. Yeah there are issues with it, but I like the fact that if I am at 41s I know that means 11 deaths (cuz we are looking to remove personal scoreboard visibility).
