REALISM

Post by MarineVet »

I think this mod is a major improvement to the BF2 game...but for realism I have an issue with players firing AT wpns...point blank at infantry or tanks and they don't get any backblast effects...BUT if you fire M203 to close to you..it will kill you. I've been killed by the wpn while the player stood not 10 ft. away and he lived...same as with RPG. Also for realism I think a weapon needs to be added.....MORTARS! Either stationary or movable..they are a main factor in war and battles. Just my opinion!

Greetings MarineVet.

It is best to post in the Suggestion thread such matters.

Particularly, "What do you want in a realism mod?" thread.

The Devs most likely do not have time to look over every thread.

.5 feedback and bugs is also a good spot.

Hope to see you on the battlefield.

Have a good'n.

IIRC, backblast will eventually be added to all weapons that would have it realistically, it is just a fairly low priority change

Back on topic, I havent been playing PR for very long, but it seems (to me at least) that the amount of realism being incorporated into gameplay has gone down dramatically over the last few weeks/months.

Best is backblast, some retard who shoots in front of his buddy, yeah... his pal just earned a Purple Heart and Airborn wings in one punch.

Thats because the mod is getting larger and more .... special people .... from other mods and vBF2 are coming to try it out. ... its NEVER a pretty thing...

As far as the AT class killing everyone at point blank range, couldn't the class be modified so the projectile does not arm until a short period of time after firing. It would illiminate its effectivness inside of 0-50/75 ft?
