hook ....is this realistic?

welll ive never seen a soldier climbing a building with this thing...only in some movies(unrealistic at all) , so my question is, does this (hook) exists irl and its used for climbing?

in guns of navarone they used rock climbing equipmant, not a grapling hook :p

OMG teen flashback - I made a 3 prong hook in shop. We took the canoe out to the beached freighter they have for Marina break wall in Port Credit http://maps.google.ca/maps?f=q&hl=en&q= ... &z=17&om=1 and used it to 'infiltrate' the ship from the open water side.

Marine Police showed up rather promptly and kicked us off tho :(

You can get the grappling hook from the graveyard keeper's ghost.There's a hole underneath one of the graves. Then you have to race him and you end up in the windmill.
