Stay, Stay, Stay, Stay, Stayiiiiiiing Aliiiiiiiive.
As long as you value the death of your digital enemies more than you value your own life then PR will not be realistic and will not have realistic battles.
So, we need a mechanism to reward those who stay alive. I propose that staying alive for 15 (or whatever) minutes permits you to choose any of the limited kits (at the usual locations) regardless of how many of the limited kits have already been taken.

I don't think I have ever stayed alive in PR for 15 minutes straight except as the commander
.
The majority of people in PR are going to be grunts who run a high risk of dying. I think rewarding staying alive is a good idea but I don't think we should punish dieing to much. The current time added to your spawn time is good and could be made a little more severe.

Give extra points for staying alive? Yes. Absolutely yes.
Reward with kits? Hell, no gtfo!
I wouldnt call it a realistic battle, if you start losing health for staying in one spot and that you can get any kit you want (usually sniper anways
).
This would be like "hey I came back alive from the operation, gimme my own A10 now"..

Bad luck...KatanaGFR wrote:And for those that arent running ABR? I know a couple of servers, including mine, that use other statsystems then ABR.
j/k, I would imagine that system as an option that can be enabled by admins.
So you would be able to get the necessary stuff from Fritz or someone from ABR.
But I'm dreaming again, damn hardcodes.

ppl want to stay alive already and waiting 30 secs (+ the amount of times you die) is a big put off already for new players, limiting the number of lives would just be (more) damn frustrating if you were having a bad round, say if you had 10 lives for example and the round lasts for an hour and you get smashed in the first 15 - 20 mins. (let's face it it happens to everyone, now and again) would YOU like to sit around twiddling your thumbs for 40 mins. Or even the last 10 - 15 mins.jerkzilla wrote:Why not just limit the number of lives a player has, which would depend on map size, tickets and faction? I bet everyone would want to stay alive if that was in...
NOT ME! When I want to game, I want to game.
I don't want to sit here in my chair WAITING.
Sorry dudes but I disagree with this one and also think the dev's time would be better spent on something else, check out the "already suggested suggestions" thread, think about it, and then decide if you'd want the dev's to muck around with something like this or one of the few hundred different already suggested suggestions.
Just my Opinion!
Less time reading our crappy posts DEV'S, more time working on the MOD that we love

yes there has been a few topics about this, but the problem is still there.
Right now, at least for me, getting killed doesn't have a big effect. I can get shot and then I'll be running around the map in 30-40 seconds.
But yeah, can't really think of anything that hasn't been suggested before that would fix this.
