[Question] In regards to the new view distances...

Post by Skwurl »

How did the devs create the longer view distances in 0.7? I'm currently creating a map, and I'm wondering if there's a line of code or something that I have to add.

Or will this be revealed after 0.7 is available?

Snake Doctor, if youre still reading up on this thread, ive been fiddling with my map for some time and I dont know what the best values (the three numbers) for view distance/fog are. What do you suggest? Im confused as to what each one does... I want little to no foggyness...

Thanks in advance,
Okita

1,000 is the highest it will let you go in the editor. Outside the editor, maybe.

I have 1G RAM and a 128m Nvidia 6600 GT card and I have less lag on Al basrah than in .5.

Basrah's fine for me. Less lag than in .5, and I be lovin' the view distance. :D OT, I know.
