Its not easy, but heres the link. You need the BF2 editor

to everyone who wants to make their own map: first you need the bf2 editor, which you can find at the official ea battlefield 2 site, or at other download sites. then, you can also download the official tutorials from the ea website. those will teach you to make a basic map. from then, you can just go mess around and improve your skills. if you have problems that you can't figure out, you can go here: http://bfeditor.gotfrag.com/forums. That's a forum managed by EA people, and you will get most of your questions answered there.
now, @ Blackbird that map looks really good. looking forward to seeing ingame shots. also, i think i saw a free site to upload things that size a while ago, but i'm not sure. i'll have a look for it.

Im not much of a mapper since Battlecraft for 42/vietnam but Im guessing it custom textures. I remember making a map for 6 months with BC:V, with every texture custom, then stopped once I realized how much BF:V was a wasted of my money and didnt deserve such a map.
As I said before, its not easy unless you willing to take the time to be frustrated over and over again. Its always difficult starting something new, but if you have the dedication and time, I say learn it.

i think.. but i'm not sure... that you can't use custom textures for roads in bf2editor. never tried it but i think i read that somewhere.
@ Heydude, link to mod tutorial download: http://www.eagames.com/official/battlef ... loads.jsp#, scroll down a bit and you'll see it (under mod files)

that does look like its coming along well.
I have some critiques though: the area in the middle of the picture, with the 8 or so trees should be turned into either
1) semi rundown park area
or
2) dirt and junk filled, backyard/junkyard area
the trees there just seem a bit out of place there to me... as do the trees following the road
feel free to give a damn or not, just my opinion
