I always thought it was With Aircraft Carrier, but Walton Athletics Club has a nice ring to it :)

I thought WAC stood for "Wide area combat".

Mao valley, is one of few maps, where I have found an understanding how the map should be played tactically. I had some good times there, and anybody who doesn't like Mao valley hasn't played it enough.

Seven Gates is a 10x better version of Mao Valley.

Steel Thunder was made by a private mapper. I forget his name atm, but I remember play this map from the first days I was introduced to it by Rhino. So many good memories on that map, cannot wait for a revamp.

Anyone who know where to find the arguments (if any public of course) about the removal of Steel Thunder?

Define irony. A bunch of guys playing PR year after year. A game teaching initiative as the prime mover.
However, in regard to EA, these guys never took the initiative.

Mao valley for me consisted of fighting in two or three corridors almost every single time I played it. If we drop it as is into 0.6 I don't see the map improving but rather regressing. Sorry but I wouldn't notice it missing.

The one map that I never enjoy and have not figured out why it is still around is Al Burj or the One with the aircract carrier and big dam. It just seems so spread out with no cover. Until the fighting gets into the city area it is rather boreing, trying to go all the way across the map and back again. I have yet to have a really enjoyable round on it.

Am I the only one who isn't a fan?

mao valley is just such a addicting jungle stealth map.
the only one PR has.
so why drop a map with a terrain no other has to offer?!
work on it so it isnt that narrow corridored? enlarge it with a amazonas like river for boats and glades for transport helos to land?
its so sick proning in the shadows feeling like william dafoe in platoon

There's nothing better than setting up Nam style ambushes with claymores on Mao valley.

Steel Thunder was removed as it would take a considerable amount of time to make up to standard for v0.6. The grass is the biggest concern (does not draw at range and is covering the entrire map). Expect a much much better map simular to steel thunder for v0.7, from the creator who brought you Qwai River, Seven Gates and Assault on Mestia.

Mao Valley was removed due to its limited size and poor gameplay behaviour, hopefully another map simular to it.

Why did we put Daqing oilfields and Zatar wetlands into the game?

Do you have any idea how easy it is to:
1. Remove the grass
2. Extend its draw distance

Both require about 10 seconds.
