That would be an insurgent without rifle, tbh.

But that wouldn't make him a criminal, it would make him a murderer.

Civi's are really getting on my nerves, grappling on to signs then jumping on warriors. They act not even close to how a real civilian would, trying to get themselves killed at every opportunity. I hope they will be changed, as it ruins the reality more than not having no civilians at all.

Hey, when I climb a highway sign it's because I DON'T want to get killed. Of course, there's always some trigger happy Brit who'll shoot me down. Also, running civvies over carries no penalty, so close your hatch and listen to the thuds of civilians bouncing off your armor.

Grappling on signs... ahh! but have you tried the lampposts! ;)
Its so so easy to avoid killing civilians, you just remember you are in a populated city, hence you dont spam grenades so easily, and you check targets.

It can't be any easier, they wear bright green sweaters.

I like the idea of an assassin class.
Green shirt and Nike's but a pistol and a knife.
If it were possible ( i know hardcoded ) to make it so once he makes his kill he shows red on the mini-map for like 2 min.
And as the windshield melts
My tears evaporate
Leaving only charcoal to defend.
Finally I understand the feelings of the few.

I thought we were modelling insurgent style civilians, not "Chavs". ;)

I'd play the assassin any day!

More guns and bullets make bad guys go away faster,
which in turn makes everyone in the area safer.

Drop the Uzis. No class, no distinction, no subtlety. Give them to the Neo class (pickup kit, only 1 per map).

can Dev's create new models of soldiers or is that too much work for little gain?

like kids or old people lol
with incredibly more intense penalty's then able-bodied civvies.

But in real life they wouldn't run across open land in the middle of firefights, spamming rocks. You can't get up and knife them because then bam, all those insurgents 200 yards away will fire a couple of dozen lead pellets into you.

I don't mind in the city were you just run into one behind a corner, but if for some reason the OAP's in my road started having some gun fights i wouldn't run in the middle and start lobbing some rocks.

I agree that what some civilians do is so stupid that they should be the ones getting punished. But I guess that is like real life too.

I have forced to gunned down civilians several times because they have been leading charges where the insurgents are right behind them. It is annoying and just serves to piss of the British player when he dies and has to wait longer.

Thank you all for commenting. I must say that the addition of civillians in PR is something I have never seen attempted in any other game. Since this is a rather new concept, it is logical to expect many unforseen issues to arise. I mean lets face it, this isn't nearly the monkey shiite fight that it could have been.

Make the Civilian a Requested Kit. Don't limit it (Well, anything less than 32)

This way, you don't have civilians spawning off of Hostiles forces, which would make sense since they aren't supposed to be directly connected to the Insurgents. That, and they won't be very prominent.

Just the way the Light AT is rarely used now that is it Requested.

I was trying to defend checkpoint on Al Basrah, and I was attacked by 3 civillians and 2 ambushers. Two of the civillians were in front and the other one was on the side. They were in a very tight huddle and I barely survived by killing all of them. I ended up bleeding to death from the damage I had sustained from the ambushers, and was hit with a two minute spawn penalty. :(
