Would it look cool to have a night vision tank warfare style map. would it make pretty tactical since you can hide better at night than during sunny bright open desert. At least will make it much harder for pilots to spot armor and will be more instruental selective targets.
Just don't make it as dark as in Bi Ming, maybe have a small sunset to the south..
Correct me, if Im wrong, but isnt the sun on Kashan on the northern side? Everyone knows, sun doesnt shine from north side, I thought this was Project REALITY!?

(joking)
I will apreciate full moon sky open, but a bit darker to make night goggles usefull.
This looks cool too.

But what I'm not sure about is the view distance, Kashan was made for 1km VD, and with night vision it would be shite not to have that VD.
Maybe not. It could be interesting to be limited by the night vision. Of course I'm assuming that RL NV has some limitations on distance clarity. Not sure about the tanks and planes though as they would probably have thermal imaging etc. which would negate any of this.
So basically I'm talking out of my a$$, please ignore me
would be good as long as the runway is lit up properly to insure that no one tries to land on the hangars or off the side of the runway....unless they knew were the runway is in which case they shouldn't be flying. This will also be good with the addition of lights to the planes and helicopters, and lots of tank shells.
and i wise man once said, 'i foresee much fun to be had'.
This is a totally new map and when those other discussions happened PR didn't have a night map.
It would change the infantry component totally.
I love the idea.

thanks, pete
Yeah and it will look awesome to have lights on the runway, in the bunker area, and maybe in the villages, but those are destructible so it may look rare, still... Devs can manage to place a few lightpost thou.

just imagine all bright tankshells and tracers traveling through the sky
Same here i'd love to see a kashan night version with tracers flying over long distances.. i think it was spartan who said it isn't hard to convert a day map into a night map so why not!?
If you hit me at 40 miles and hour theres an 80% chance i'll die, hit me at 30 miles an hour and theres an 80% chance ill live. Ricky Gervais: "Isn't that just incouraging gambling?"
I thought a bit about this and, ohwell I somehow hate myself for saying it but:
it could actually make SF come in handy.
lets say the mappers could make lit runways, lit destructible villages and so on. light would be essential around flag and your mainbase area, since I belive not all classes IRL get NVG.
they could come in and destroy these light sources in the enemy base, causing chaos. thatd be fun^^
