Thank you! maybe its the difference between "normal" and "ultra high" but even barely moving while crouched makes enough noise to easily be heard.'[R-DEV wrote:sofad']this wont happen.
one of the first things i did when starting to work for PR (for 0.4 i think) was to create all new movement sounds with no annoying gear clacker in normal move and alot less in sprint.
in RL soldiers are sneaky ******** wich have their gear strapped to not make any unnecessary noise imo.
If anything I'd say go the other way and add a almost soundless form of moving...

So thats why M9 sounds so weird..I liked the vBf2 sound, new one sounds weird...'[R-DEV wrote:Jaymz']Yes, new sounds in 0.6. Except for the MEC pistol so there is some variety. Previously all pistols used the same sound. On a side note, pistols don't sound all that powerful in real life outdoors. I went shooting a few days before I worked on the new 9mm sound and the colt I shot sounded very much like a sharp clapping sound. Indoors however, is a different story.

I made the new pistol sound one day after shooting a 9mm colt at an outdoor range. To me, it sounds very similar to the weapon I fired.Outlawz wrote:So thats why M9 sounds so weird..I liked the vBf2 sound, new one sounds weird...

The pistol weapons in Bf2v sound like they suffer from impotence.
If there was one thing that BF2v needed it was a sound overhaul.
You've done it again, Jaymz old chap, you've proved DICE wrong by doing a better job than them. (Infact how many people work on the sound department in DICE compared to PR?)

apparently (correct me if im wrong, i heard this from an ex dutch radio man) with a radio, you would have one 'set of men' in one ear and 'another set of men' in his other.
its probably hardcoded (in fact, i bet it is). But it would be awesome, for example, to ave the commander in one ear and your squad in the other.

unfortunatly we have not the full range of audio options for the radio sounds then for all the other ones. in fact, we can only change the volume for the radio. god and DICE alone knows why..
we can only pan the audiofiles itself to the right, but that would also mean that you would hear yourself, aka 1p sound, also on this right side only..

I can't remember the officers name but some guy in Vietnam took the headphones from 2 different radio nets and broke them in two, taped them back together so he could hear both nets at the same time.
I read it in a book so I'm not claiming it's true but it seems like it could have happened.
But since EA is the ultimate buzzkill I guess it doesn't matter.
