Insurgent kit w/ grapling?

Post by Outlawz7 »

I was wondering, if it would be good to put the grappling hook to the Insurgent kit besides the Civilian.

Pros:
Insurgents get more mobility and can attack from more places, simulating the inpredictability of coming out of anywhere at any time.

Civilians should also keep the grappling, because they can be observing the enemy forces from just about anywhere as well (and so you can shoot them, while they climb and save yourself from being ambushed with a knife :p )

Cons:
Post below, as I dont really find anything wrong with that.
A contra could be, that Insurgents would be able to access some places, which enemy cannot, but thats why we got air support and snipers ;)

if anything ambushers should get them.
  • what better way to ambush someone, than above them. swoop down and pull a **** cheny on those infidels with your shotgun ;-)
  • best place to watch IEDs is from above

Definitely not. You should require the cooperation of a civilian. The grappling hook symbolizes civilians 'letting the insurgents into their homes'.

I think the war vet should get it. He really needs a slightly heavier setup.

No, the War Vet already has a powerful kit. Besides, he does not need for it. You should never be without a civilian - the great equalizer - so you will always have a grappling hook handy.

Keep it with civilian. The whole point is representing an alliance between the population and the insurgency. Besides a squad without a civilian in it deserves to be decimated.

Well, Im rarely a civilian in a squad, since everyone switches the SL position, then all of a sudden I become the SL and die, just as I was gonna start reporting enemy movement
