Any plans for more Militia Maps?
I was just playing Mestia and i must say it is a well designed map showing the Militia's strength's and weaknesses, It was an awesome round, I had an awesome squad who knew how to work together, So my question is do you plan to create any more maps for the Militia faction? And will there be any city maps? I must say the Militia would do well in an urban enviroment(And before you ask i suck at mapping ok!)

yeah...glad you like it...
I have 2 more militia maps in the early stages...double the size of AoM...
One will be an extension of AoM...very similar terrain but with more valleys and reliance on APCs...large fighting areas and a wide AAS style (similar AAS to qwai river but double the land and much better terrain)
the other will be an extra special urban map that is about 1/3 done as we speak...look forward to very gritty dirty street to street combat..APC are going to be coffins i hope...
both are going to take ALOT of time so not sure if they will both make .7 but the first one i mentioned likely will as its about 1/2 done right now..
so keep practicing the real militia is yet to come!

So your the Dev that designed Mestia and the Militia faction? I must say you did an excellent job! You made me abandon Basrah(And thats hard) The map is amazing, You Sir Are the "Pwnsauce" I tip my hat to you, I hope you continue creating more maps like it. I thank you for myself and all the other people who love Mestia.
Also The new maps you have in the pipeline sound amazing, The urban sounds especially amazing, I wonder will you modify any of the Militia vehicle skins to suit them for street combat? And with the Russians in play will it finally settle the age old rivalry of which one is better "The 47 or 74?" Once again Thank you so much for everything you have done.

Indeed, the militia are well done! Sometimes a few of the newer maps don't really have that "realness" feel to them. Not a complaint, they are awesomely fun but kind of have that Delta force 1 feel...as in they don't neccessarily seem like something you'd see IRL. Seven gates and mesta have this feel to them...I could definitely be way off base here though, just some thoughts.

yeah i like maps to have a nice storey to them and a little james bond here and there..so expect more of the same...
ill always throw in a bit of unreality as it allows me to tell a bit of storey at the same time i suppose.. I usually create entire stories while creating maps anyhow.. so i guess thats what you are seeing...
enjoy

DON'T put the Militia in any urban maps it would ruin them.
I LOVE AoM brilliant map Irontaxi well done.
Maybe an Eastern European setting with a few medium villages based in valleys and heavily forested areas with AA hidden in buildings and Merlin choppers circling above with WAH-64s for support...Ah one can dream

Im working on one militia map too, but its still too rough to take more pictures
Trying to make some interesting underground things and design map so that commander assets would be in big role.
