Carld2002, there is a big difference between the two. The motorised one is taking actual flight data from the sim and using washout routines to simulate G-forces.
For example, if you stall the plane, no matter where you put the stick, the chair would point nose down.
In terms of immersivity, that is a big improvement on the old stick and pivot.

It's not just about how much they cost, it's about getting a license to fly them, which could take a lot of time, especially with all these security issues.
IMO that entire virtual cockpit is just sad. It's for the guy who applied for the air force but got rejected because he forgot to go to school.

I went to his site and he has been building gadgets since he was a little kid then he stopped when he became an adult, career, family etc, then he had the time and money to indulge himself and he did.
