PRMM and the new "patch"
yeah patch is in quotes because its not a patch, its **** regular bf players have to download in order to keep playing normal vanilla maps. anyway i updated just for kicks before realizing that PRMM wouldnt work afterwards so my new question is how compatable will PRMM be with the new patch and how soon can we expect to see the servers runing the new junk?
reverting back now...
great mod by the way, had to mention that in my first post too i guess

On a related note, what capacity do the PR developers have with respect to fixing the glitches that annoy everyone and that DICE appear not to want to fix?
I know someone on the BF2 forums wrote a completely new server browser that was vastly superior to the normal one. When EA found out about it, rather than seeing it as a signal that people were unhappy with the server browser and expending effort in fixing it, they simply nerfed the new browser. I think that shows how much EA/DICE really care about fixing the game, but if they won't do it, perhaps others will?

They won't "fix" it because that's what addon packs are for. Why make people happy with a patch when you can sell it to them with some shiny new poorly made shit in the process? You don't understand business ethics at all! Wait, I said "ethics" whilst talking about EA. Now I must proceed to kill myself!
(note: sarcasm played a part in the above believe it or not)

EA/DICE love to give mods a right shafting don't they? Infact they're shafting everyone. I'm really regretting trying to mod this game now, but the community is soooo much better than the Half Like community! THESE PEOPLE ACTUALLY CARE! Even if it's not a CS clone or a remake of a HL1 mod people used to fap over.

yeah ethics and ea... right, i love how they released an expansion before the origional was ever completed, yeah its complete in the sense that it works but its nowhere near what i would ever consider finished. grr, i really just want my money back! or for PRMM to grow huge and everyone forget about regular ea gameplay

This is why I'm going to stick with 1.03. There is no way I'm going to give up project reality to go play regular BF2.(-W3rD-)GotMilk wrote:yeah patch is in quotes because its not a patch, its **** regular bf players have to download in order to keep playing normal vanilla maps. anyway i updated just for kicks before realizing that PRMM wouldnt work afterwards so my new question is how compatable will PRMM be with the new patch and how soon can we expect to see the servers runing the new junk?

Yep, I wouldn't give up PR to play BF2 either. I'll be waiting until there is somekind of fix for the patch before changing from 1.03. Afterwards I will be sure to only play on PRMM servers with global unlocks disabled.DirtySock888 wrote:This is why I'm going to stick with 1.03.
