Kite's series of good ideas!
.Customize certain weapons such as your m4, with mods such as scopes, silencers, grenade or flare launchers and bipods.
.Manually fold in/out your weapons bipods.
.Your aim, even when using ironsites waves around depending on your movements, postures and state (Injuries and stuff).
.A dynamic stamina system, when sprinting, running and swimming, etc you gradually run out of stamina and as it lowers, you slow down until you move as slow as a slug.
.realistically destructible environments
.Objects and environment can obstruct sound. (Doesnt make sense? think about it.)
.Free aim and implement support for the Track IR.

it's not realistic because any soldier will probably be able to run at least for 1 hour without having to stop. (and I'm talking about running, not sprinting)kitethefallenangel wrote:What do you mean Not realistic? Thats possible. Think about it!
And since I don't think I've ever seen an infantry soldier survive 1h in PR I don't see the point in coding something like what you are suggesting. A waste of time.
Basically if you are infantry you will probably die once every 10mins. So there really is no point in having decreasing stamina since we are talking about soldiers, not some fat 70 year old people who get out of their house 3 times a year.
btw, no offence but this must have been the worst "good ideas" thread I've ever seen. I'm pretty sure about all of those have been suggested before, and only one of them is possible to do/worth doing. And that would be "realistically destructible environments" which the devs are already working on.

Very well then. And no offence taken, I am a quite patient 15 year old.mammikoura wrote:it's not realistic because any soldier will probably be able to run at least for 1 hour without having to stop. (and I'm talking about running, not sprinting)

However, would weapon weight affecting the speed of your turning (as well as movement) do?
A WW2 mod for HL2 under development is implementing that.

Oh dear gods, he's suggested all the most common suggestions other than the two me missed: "z0mg m4k3 5p3c14l f0|2c3s 1337" (OMG MAKE SPECIAL FORCES LEET!!) and "Fast roping".

Around here, you'll learn to use the search function, because everday, when some one has an "extrimzor ideaz!1!! or b3st awzum idiaz!!" they're all the same.kitethefallenangel wrote:.Customize certain weapons such as your m4, with mods such as scopes, silencers, grenade or flare launchers and bipods.
Somewhat possible but hardcoded. The weapons unlock could be used, but I don't think they are able to do this, or are allowed or will. - Suggested before.
.Manually fold in/out your weapons bipods.
Hardcoded, possible by using a different weapon which can only be used whilst prone, but not realistic as sharing ammo for both weapons is hardcoded. - Suggested before
.Your aim, even when using ironsites waves around depending on your movements, postures and state (Injuries and stuff).
Again, you're talking about the BF2 engine, therefore hardcoded. - Suggested before.
.A dynamic stamina system, when sprinting, running and swimming, etc you gradually run out of stamina and as it lowers, you slow down until you move as slow as a slug.Dynamic sprinting is very likely to be hardcoded (i.e. Sprinting is probably 1 or 0 in the BF2 engine.. - Suggested before
.realistically destructible environments
Suggested before - Would cause performance problems , Kashan has two destructable villages, what more do you want?!
.Objects and environment can obstruct sound. (Doesnt make sense? think about it.)
Suggested before, (sound occlusion?) Hardcoded, I've only seen this in ARMA, requires EAX.
.Free aim and implement support for the Track IR.
Suggested before, there's is still a hot topic about it in the General Discssion believe. - Oh yeah... Hardcoded, unless theyget mouse emulation working, which I'm sure s possible.

I tend to doubt this person is real.
But if you are then I would ask you this....
In all honesty, with no malice at all.......
Why ?
Why would you join a forum for a game it doesn't seem like you have played, and type out a long list of suggestions ?
What did you think the probable outcome would be ?
Have you done this before with other games and if so, what was the reaction there ?
I am genuinely interested in the answers and I am not flaming in any way.

well having weapon weight affect the speed of turning would be realistic and it would be awesome if it would actually work. But the thing is that even if it would be possible to code people can just go to the settings and change their mouse sensitivity to be able to turn faster.kitethefallenangel wrote: However, would weapon weight affecting the speed of your turning (as well as movement) do?

Welcome to the forums and I hope you enjoy PR. The community here can be a bit harsh at first but you will learn the ropes with time.
OK in the same vain as AD&A why is it that people with less then 10 posts and a join date within the last month are always the ones that want to turn a mod on its head? You would think they would put a little time into the mod first to get a feel for it before putting out some big ideas.
Not trying to flame the OP this is more a general observation.
