UAV
This is almost certainly impossible.... but I'm going to say it anyway.
Instead of having the silly UAV in game atm, how about you deploy an AWACS E-3D or whatever, you dont actually need the plane there, we can just pretend.
Then (idea stolen from lock on) have a command where the AWACS gives you bearings to the nearest target.....
Thinking about it now, just realised that people don't show up on AWACS like planes do.....
meh. I lose

Some kind of intercept radar would be very appropriate.
An UAV AWACs or a ground station radar that would give a 2K diameter radar bubble.
It will not shoot or give target hand offs just show the position and bearing of aircraft.

Incredibly important on team games. If you are a commander its insane how much better you can perform if you have a little recon. Also tankers will love you forever if you give them a few spots.

I say a flying drone launched by a "drone tech" kit (limited) and it can spot enemies through a zoomable camera. Also, you might be able to have a building that these techs could go into that would allow them to use bigger and better drones with a few LGMs on some maps (like Al Bashrah, have a UAV bldg.).
The Global Hawk would work for this kind of thing.

I say an air-based AWACs with a radar controller and pilot. Shows where aircraft are on the R/C's minimap and it's his job to tell freindly aircraft/AAA/SAMs where enemy aircraft are.ArmedDrunk&Angry wrote:Some kind of intercept radar would be very appropriate.
