Lmfao, No...applied for Royal Marines though need to wait for them to get back ot me :-P

@Dirty Harry he said it inst possible to have IRON sights not a SUSAT.

Their is still the Iron sight rail look carefully.

And the M16A4 with M203 and ACOG will be sweet i hope it will be Black unlike the M16A2 place holders...
Is 0.7 when the whole M16 EA series is replaces by shinny new PR M16A4s?

Not with a UGL on an A2 on it you haven't.

If support troops (medics etc) don't get issued SUSATs and are issued rifles with iron sights instead, you can bet your balls they aint issued UGLs :|

Medics only carry weapons for self-defence. Taking part in offensive ops means they forfiet the protection granted to them as red cross representitives under the laws of armed conflict. Walking about with an underslung grenade launcher is probably a little too 'aggressive' for field medical personnel ;)

IRT the original question, please be aware that the mod's main aim is to get the British Forces into the game, although we'll be adding to each faction as we get the assets etc.

Some seriously exciting new maps will be in 0.7. The new M16A4 range will be introduced, new vehicles will be introduced, and the main 'gist' of 0.7 will be to further polish the assets, classes and factions we currently have ingame, 'completing' the factions. bThese points have been covered before in various guises by other Devs, so I'm not mentioning anything new ;)

:lol: imagine that medics with UGL's launching giant sized Paracetamol's and painkillers.

I didn't no you could get UGLs on the A1:S didn't even no we had UGL's when we had the A1 i thought we had Rifle grenades?

Anyway any chance of some teaser pics of the new M16s?

Part of the early stages of the FIST programme. Never actually issued though, as far as I know.

Anyway, for v0.7 the USMC will get a punch in their collective face if they don't stop asking for teasers and complaining about the M16. :p
The key to modernising any weapon is covering them in glue and tossing them in a barrel of M1913 rails until they look "Modern" enough.

The M16 is one of the best weapons in BF2/PR, why complaining?

I can see it now, all the Devs with their terry cloths and polish, swirling maddly as the deadline approaches, trying to achieve the best shine possible ;-)

tbh, I want scopes on Medics weapon.

Why:
-people will start using the kit
-better self-defence ;)
-so they take the load off the Riflemen, who are the only ones with scope

Why NOT:
-becuase its not realistic, and this is a reality mod, which basically kills the idea :(

I scream for a medic, check the map and see one or two red crosses on the entire team, one on an average day.

And even that one just stands around to find the glitch, where he can heal himself, but gets shot or bleeds out before that.
Or he doesnt even know, how to use the medibag and stares at you, while you bleed out.

I vote for more explosive barrels on maps so we can have a target practise comparison of these guns.

I'd also like to see Binocs taken away from the Medic and the Engineer class. EVERYONE can't have Binocs!

Maybe the USMC will get an AAV of sorts?

10x50mm binoculars cost at least $50
the ones in game with good clarity and mil-dot crosshairs for range estimation would definately go for $200+

to make binoc shooting (using binoc to aim and then switching to iron-sight rifle and headshot) impossible, the supposedly $20 binocs should lose the crosshairs
