it would be verry cool , and strategical advantage for the usmc to take out AA and SAM sites with subs.. and dont say Hardcoded becouse their are evidence that subs can be putted ingame

Yes, they can be incorporated into the game.
No, they won't be incorporated into the game because there would
only be three uses for them:
of a sort, and probably won't be heading towards any special forces
gameplay anytime soon.
We already have fire support with the current artillery batteries, and
I think it serves a better purpose and already cuts down on the work
required. There's also the CAS we get from players operating in jets
and attack helicopters, which will do a far better job.

- Special Operations insertions/extractions.

No, subs! we gonna get some amphibious assault maps right, and just some normal maps ? where usmc must assault beaches or something. well then it should be cool to have subs for usmc to attack positions on the map like bunkers, and to deploy small RIB'S.
and attack subs for enemy (depends what sort enemy) to attack them with torpedoes,, and allied forces should have anti sub. helicopter,
with rockets that can lock on them (for example give the subs invisible plane engine),and code so they dont explode when they reach the water
EDIT: they should be up, like 10 mtrs under water, when you want to fire the rocket,so you could see them from the air and take them out, that way you have to look for water treaths too and not only land and air ,, think the naval shit should be more usefull and not only a dumb carier

As far as I know, PR isn't going to try and take a Naval Approach to the mod, that means no boats, probably ever.
Also, naval combat is practically nonexistant anymore, the only thing boats are used for is firing Tomahawks, carring planes, and thats about it.
If they do do naval insertions, the boats are miles off shore, and they either launch RIBs, or APCs. Not get in close and fire on the beach with their guns, they could just use Cruise Missiles, its easier and less time consuming.

bad idea, Naval battles need extremely large areas with deap water, probably too large to incorporate amphibious assaults. It probably wouldn't even fit into a bf2 map. Also, what will the subs do? They can't torpedo the RIBs, they would serve the same purpose as carriers, and could you imagine the point loss for losing a sub? Finally, blowing the carrier would cause extreme moaning and whining .arjan wrote:No, subs! we gonna get some amphibious assault maps right, and just some normal maps ? where usmc must assault beaches or something. well then it should be cool to have subs for usmc to attack positions on the map like bunkers, and to deploy small RIB'S.

that would be fun actually , navy seals with mp5's storming a north Korean sub or something , would be intense !!! fighting with different floors , but i doubt there are any interior sub skins and statics made for bf2Alex6714 wrote:How about just the inside of a huge submarine, no granades available?![]()
