Long Bow, el_Vikingo, FFS Get a room! ;)

To the OP. I'd like to echo what others have said. Don't take it personally, but we saddoes with nothing better to do than camp the forums see a lot of suggestions that have a)Already been suggested more times than Joan Collins has had men, or b) Are a variation on the above. Ennui eventually sets in, and with familiarity comes contempt, so when we see (and like I said, don't take this personally) yet another suggestion for a weapon that isn't currently in use (or is in limited deployment) we rise to the bait like Trout on a summer's evening.

Basically the program (I live in the U.K. where only people like Bob are obsessed with guns ;) , so it's not aired here and I've only seen a few clips) features prototype weapons that seem to be a few decades off actually been used, end up being too expensive to manufacture, problems are found later in their testing or a similar weapon or gizmo gets manufactured and the powers that be decided to go along with that instead because of one of the above reasons.

That's why the devs are reluctant to put stuff like that in (that and they might have to do some work, get a job you rudderless hippies!)

Thought I'd give the poor guy what I'd assume is the reason these things get shot down so often.

Most are though.
I think bad suggestions just get on their nerves. I've made a lot of them myself xD

Only a select few of "those weapons" are being used at the moment. Those that are getting some use are very small in numbers. Just because 2 rifles of a certain type are being used doesn't mean that they are common place. Until a weapon system is common place in a particular Military, you may not see it in PR. But I could be wrong.
Future weapons is a fun show to watch, but weapons system seldom work as well as they do on that show. Also the targets on that show are not shooting back :)

Well actually there are some rumors/reports saying the Barrett M468 is in limited use with American special forces groups.

Yet since we don't have the Mk.16 or Mk.17 (FN SCAR) weapons either I don't think we will see the M468.

Look there are so many parts of PR that aren't realistic just to add to gameplay that SUGGESTING to add a rifle that happened to be on future weapons is hardly worth the criticism it has received. Look, if you can make a fictional army in a fictional war all armed with certain types of weapons to make this game playable, then I'm sure you can somehow slip in a not-really-future weapon into a certain side as an easter egg or for spec ops or something. I mean the lack of realism and balance given to a certain side (who will remain nameless) which lacks even the most basic of equipment because of peoples political biases is what really deserves this kind of criticism.

Suggested before Mr. Dow. Please do a search.

As for the rest of you, next time you see a post like this, just ignore it. You make yourselves look less like pricks when you do so.
