Seriously, it takes a spot more than that to get the stuff going. The other big component is sugar (preferably icing sugar as the higher-surface-area-to-crystal-volume ratio makes it burn quicker), and you still need some military-grade explosive along with the required detonators for it, to get the lot going off at the required time.

Fertilizer bombs are a lot harder to make (safely and reliably) than most people think.

(This post was sponsered by the chemistry and forensic science degree course I attended prior to becoming a nurse lol)
filled with sh-t? you dont use natural fetilizer in those you use chemical witch doesnt carrier near the smell the horse or cow stuff does and you dont need military grade explosives to set them off they arent hard to make and thats the very scary part. the hard part is setting them off with out killing your self but with a bit of back yard engineering it can be done. essentially your making anfo a very common comercial explosive.

and for all you piros out there try making some nitro-tri-iodine its not to hard to make and its worth hours of fun, simply paint on when wet to oh say toilet rims basket balls etc.. big boom with just a bit of pressure! I wont get into the specifics of the recipie for the sake of not getting in any sort of trouble but pm for the recipe or just google it im sure you can find some thing about it

i wonder what percentage of this forum has read the jolly roger's cookbook...

i'd love some big explosions. really, really big ones. ones that make you duck even though it's on screen and the pluime of smoke and fire can be seen across the map. that would be... fun.

oh, and can we make the suicide truck play the benny hill theme tune?

So long as planting an IED takes about 30 minutes of digging, placing, and covering, then sure you can make the c4 just as big of an explosion as an average IED.

About the IEDs, yes, we will be taking a look at them for 0.7 as we already have stuff planned for them, including a new model.

Sounds is with Jaymz and sofad, and hopefully we will get some updates there too.

About dust, working with effects in BF2 is very hard, so of course it would be nice to have more but everything takes time.

Dust puts alot of stress on the graphics card in my experience, its one of the few things that will lag my system along with smoke. Otherwise I totally agree, just a shame it halves the fps but maybe some slow down is fair game with an explosion, shell shock or something but some will have no lag so :/

Also keep in mind people gaining a false advantage by turning down graphics effects for that purpose

I'd be happy if it just made the same effects the pop smoke makes just in a different color lol

Aswell as some people may have the Effect settings to low or medium.

So on low it may loook like a fart, but on high there's the huge dust cloud and flame inside.

hmmm. i name this thread the most obvious thread ever. the reason: you are asking a group that is predominantly men if they want bigger bangs (please read that as wry observation and not a flame. brit humour doesn't always come over well in type).

suggestion for the suicide truck tune #2: the imperial march by john williams, aka. darth vader's theme tune. 'cmon, it's a terrorist weapon, that sure as hell would terrify me.
