I don't know if this idea is viable or even necessary. For one instance, you can VoIP your squad to suppress the enemy, but it may be handy if you want other people beyond your squad to help in the process.
Wanna hear (read?) what you think.
Unfortunately I can barely see enemies taking cover too. In Long Range engagements this should not work but I've found myself in many situations while in CQB when I see a enemy running from one side to another then want someone to suppress it's position and then I can't issue a proper command. If I spot him people will not suppress but then try to flank and kill him.Soulis6 wrote:Except that right now, if you see an enemy, he is probably going to be dead very shortly. I don't know about you but i rarely actually see enemies taking cover behind objects. They usually don't make it to that point.
Also VOIP should be used for this. The Q commo rose is obsolete (except for spot) with VOIP.
I just thought i would say that i use cover all the time and i see people use cover all the time. Just not 30 minutes ago i was in hills of haymong or w/e and everyone was covering in the hills and behind trees and buildings. Popping their heads in and out to take shots and everything.Soulis6 wrote:Except that right now, if you see an enemy, he is probably going to be dead very shortly. That's bollocks, I see plenty of people, including myself, using it loads. The move tool makes squad movement so much easier then telling people to go up a hill to create a rally cos that could be anywhere, and since I don't know much military jargon there's no easy way of saying "move to that rock, up on the hill, not the one on the left but the one on the right but not on our side the side with the tree next to the blown up car" etc.Soulis6 wrote:Except that right now, if you see an enemy, he is probably going to be dead very shortly. QFT, *sometimes* as m249 can suppress , but thts the only weapon that can atleast try , in my opinion*spacecadett* wrote:i have to go with pasfreak on this one! there is no such thing as effective suppresive fire in PR.
there are multiple explanations to why but i feel as if the multiple spawn points in .6 is the main one.
Thats right. When you have atleast one guy with a support gun and 3-4 other ppl shooting at your bunker, you'll get the hell down and stay there. You can get up and open fire on them coz when bullets are flying close to your head you'll vision will suffer, and by the time you manage to aim at a guy you'll fly backwards while shouting "AAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRGGGGGHHHHHHH"H3eadshot wrote:Well I don't care what half you guys say. Effective suppressive fire is completely possible and when done correctly, deadly.
Often, I'll spot 2 or 3 guys taking shots from behind a sandbag or another object. I'll order the squad to suppress the position then another 1 or 2 to go up and rush them.
Believe me, if you are under effective suppressive fire, you'll bloody well know it. You're too scared to look up when there's M16 and M249 rounds tearing apart the wall behind you and thwacking off your sandbag.Usually you'll be too busy trying to crawl for cover you won't even notice the guy running directly to your position to nade you or unload on you.
I'd only agree on you that there's no thing as suppressive fire if your squad is an incoherent bunch of lonewolfs/1337$n1p3rzZ/t3h n00bs who don't follow orders.
JaymzWell Gazz, I wouldn't like to meet you on the battlefield, you seem to have superhuman powers.gazzthompson wrote:scared of what ? a 30 seconds spawn then straight back into the action , id rather pop up and kill the guy in 2 shots.
