Insurgents
I know PR's main goal right now is adding the British Army in, but what about after that, modelling Insurgents? I mean, it wouldn't require to much work. A few player models, a few weapon models (Alot could be used from vanilla BF2) and wall-ah. You have a whole new team, what do you guys think?

Not really, no . I was thinking something like totally new player models. Almost like the ones in SF . That way you can have the bandana's (for lack of a better word) etc. As far as weapons go, instead of the AK-101 you would have the AK-47 as the primary weapon. RPG-7 as anti-tank. And a few other more weapons that are commonly used between insurgent groups.

nope I've though about this too and i would have multiple weapons for the insergents that can be chosen/multiple weapons for each set randomly chosen.dawdler wrote:So in other words, it not MEC with a different skin, its PLA with a different skin?![]()

I was looking in to it the easiest would be to take the sf model of those insurgent looking guys changing the sound files to mec and weapons to mec and dropping it back into bf2/prmm. only problem is if you put it up for download like you would have to EA/Dice would probably sue your ***.
Making all that stuff fresh is alot of work.

I wouldn't mind seeing the insurgents as an entirely new team.
I just hope they'd get a variety of weapons (SKS, FN FAL, AK74, PKM, RPK-74, G3, M16, etc)

Insurgents are not a new concept so it could be anywhere in the world, yet as they are not military I wouldn't see the logic behind putting them in PR as a faction. They specialize in asymmetrical warfare whilst BF2 is all about conventional warfare. In this day & age, this often includes kidnappings, bombings and various other assaults on civilians. My vote would go towards implementing other nations beforehand.

Yes I agree. If anything, maybe you and the devs can later on add supplementary "paramilitary" insurgent classes, which consist of a basic rifleman/assault and a RPG-wielding AT man. An incentive to play as an insurgent would be that if you die as an insurgent, your team loses no tickets, and they get more stamina. Obviously, the downside to playing as these insurgents would be that their guns' accuracy is severely curbed (due to age or misuse) and they have no armor.requiem wrote:Insurgents are not a new concept so it could be anywhere in the world, yet as they are not military I wouldn't see the logic behind putting them in PR as a faction.
