I think its more to make the classes look and feel more stealthy. I personaly dont really mind wether they go or not. What dose bug me is that they are silenced, despite the fact that the rifles arent, which praticly makes them pointless.

yeah when you read in the manual " specops equiped with supressed weapons for infiltrating and demolotions" i think weapon would have been better and spec ops don really infiltrate the are elite soldiers not conter terorists.

i've said this before but I believe both specops and snipers need to be reworked into the mod as they do not currently fit in regular squads. The sniper should be a marksman and the specops has no special edge on an all out war with no artillery or satellite to blow up.

Elite MPs? As in the military police? I'm not sure about that. I'd say that they are more like the edge of a military's sword. They do things most conventional forces can't. The problem with how they are implemented in BF2 is that they aren't usually just a guy in a squad. They usually make up their own squad and fill slots like medic and support with people from their own unit.

if we could have squads chosen from the kit you have that would be better.

I agree with Brokenarrow they should be put on their own map as green berets/seals or sumat

Im sure the military uses them for special operations that require the element of surprise, although I don't think they would be used very often.

'[R-PUB wrote:BrokenArrow']SpecOps should be removed as it is now, then on a few select maps there should be a faction represented by spec ops. So say you use Green Berets they will have their own medic, marksman, engineer, gunner, rifleman etc.
this idea sounds best for the spec ops future...

Very real, suppressors make CQB more manageable by cutting down the sound in tight spaces. It has the added benefit of reducing a weapons muzzle flash. If the devs do decide to add suppressors to more weapons I hope it sounds better than the typical cliche sounds that are used. They can lowerd the decibles, but still can't get rid of that supersonic crack, unless subsonic ammo is used.Hitperson wrote:is that airsoft because if it is it may not be real as of yet i havn't found a real M4S

Once saw a site to a company that made suppressors for machineguns.

I agree. One of the two could have a target laser pointer (on maps with planes) and the Spec Ops should definitely carry an MP5 silenced. This would even everything out a lot more. I can't think of anything for the sniper, except for maybe the ability to detect clays, mines, and C4 visually rather than the skull and crossbones lighting up on his HUD.visaya wrote:I believe both specops and snipers need to be reworked into the mod as they do not currently fit in regular squads.
The sniper should be a bit like a spotter, with a higher awareness of his surroundinings, he should be able to reveal enemy explosives on the 3D map to the rest of the squad, making him a valuable asset.
