Well, I'm of the opinion that all the choppers should have as many seats as possible so if another can get crammed into the BH then why not?
I'd also say that having a dedicated co-pilot can be very useful, if they're spotting and calling out routes.
Having 8 spaces on a BH would mean you could fit an entire squad into a blackhawk, and have a pilot and co or pilot and the commander in the front.
Given that there are a maximum of about 3 blackhawks on most maps, it'd mean the blackhawk squad could have 6 guys, 3 pilots and 3 co's, with no-one sat at base just camping for a chopper.
Also, whoever said the BH is tippy is in need of practice. On a map like Jabal, I can pick up the blackhawk at the start of the match and fly insertions onto the mainland for the entire game with no problems - and usually no deaths, too. The trick is to practice lots and to not fly with the throttle on full constantly. When turning, use "blips" of power to push the chopper through the turn.

I have to agree with you there. Worst flying helicopter in the game.DarkTalon wrote:have you flown it? it's like trying to balance an aircraft carrier on top of a flagpole.

@ other guys
I'm able to hover without moving ... its just a question of how much you practice.

Ive flown Jabal for the entire map without crashing or being shot down, more then once.
Its actually more stable then the LB, its faster and its stronger.
The only thing that can catch you out is the acceleration which can be sudden, practise helps.
Merlin is the most stable of the helis but I probably prefer the BH, I think its a bit faster
BH needs miniguns that sound like this though :

We'd have none of that west beach camping if it fired 6000 rounds a minute like you know it should

any one ever play gunship2000 on the amiga? blackhawk with quad FFAR, now that would mess up west beach a bit
the only things that would be usefull to have the copilot for is either opening/closing the side doors, arming the miniguns and spotting but the first two would be to open for idiots to screw around with and how many people would spot for it to make it worth devs spending the time to code the changes

C'est magnifique, mais ce n'est pas la guerre. C'est de la folie

I have alot of experience with all of the choppers, i never said i could not fly them, it's just the blackhawk feels like standing on a rolling log, it's easy to control, it's useful and i can last upwards to 1 1/2 hours in the same aircraft even with enemy fire on jabal. it's just that split second of server lag, where you have no control it just rolls down to the left and, next thing you know "you will respawn in: 28".
whereas with say, the merlin you get some lag, even 2-3 seconds and you're still on a straight course.

No thats not true ... i've crashed also with the Merlin cause of lags ... it depends on your position when there is a lag. I have something like 1000 hours vBF2 helopractice and i dont know alot of practice with PR helos so its not just you with very much experince with the helos.
EDIT: Many guys still think that it'd be a very good idea to arm the miniguns first.
