we deffo need to get rid of the sound of the cessna flying by dice realy dropped the ball on that one.

^ true but all we need is gun fire in old battlezones and the sound of gas being pumped on Kashan at the oil derrecks.

PS: Ambient sounds on the map are an excellent thing but they will no longer be "battle" sound like fuzzhead said. Every gunshot you hear should be happening in real time and that's what we're trying really hard to do.

Good. I played Street for the first time yesterday, and as much as I like the map, I hate the fact that there's constant battle noise taking place. It made it very difficult to work out where the hell sounds were coming from.

Not to brag about my setup but I've got an X-fi with decent 5.1 speakers; on "regular" maps I can make out the direction of gunfire from about a klick away, roughly - and much much better at close range. Having that battlespam over the top really mucks with my ears now (It's taken about 4 months of owning surround sound to really get to grips with its full potential).

some ov these may have already bin said if tru it just means that i agree

1. flashes of artty or a pilot bombing
2. the sound of a distant sniper shooting you squad mate behind would scare the hell out of me
3. if say you are a sniper and there a guy in a tank with real low armour so he got his m8 to repair and you snipe his mate will get real peved of and stard looking for you he has to bypass a town to get towards you through a town you cant c him but you can here the sound of the tracks rolling over the pot holed tarmack and over the drains would realy make you think again bout killin his ma8 even then he doesnt know were you are
4. the background sounds of rivers/trees swaying in the wind birds in the trees its all quiet then some british spot a squad of insergens and a tank and begin to open fire and the insergents retern fire wile you are over 1 mile away and can hear the gunshots explosions and sreems as the insergent are getting there butt kicked

one thing maby not the idea of constant gunshots only the wild and when you walk into a town you can hear the wind wistleing past your ears which is making the doors and window covers of the abandond houses shake
