Delay on VOIP/chat after player death

Post by Mentharian »

Is this possible? If it is, I think it would up the game play a lot more. It would encourage better squad cohesion and would make ambushes much deadlier. I would think at least a 15 sec time delay would be nice.

VOIP is hardcoded

and even if it wasn't hardcoded it would be a problem since then people who use TS (or any other similar software) would have a big advantage against squads who use voip.

I think, from what I remember, the devs are working on blacking out the screen after death, so these kinds of exploits aren't as easy.

It would be ice if there was a way of fully integrating TS into PR, but I doubt it would be easy.

Yeah this sounds good. Maybe to further promote the use of a third-party VOIP program, the total abolishment of BF2's in-game system is in order. The shortfall with this is that you need extra servers to host and people changing squads need to be able to quickly change their channel.

Needs to be done though, perhaps they can stream porn in place of a black screen... :p

How about no...

However, I do think a black screen might get a bit boring, especially if you're getting spawn camped or the opposing team is extremely better than yours.

No need to take my clearly none genuine idea seriously...

I'm sure the devs would sort something out to make it less dull though, the whole thing is really stupid and needs to be fixed. Alot of the time I find it less helpful for some dead guy to tell me where someone is, cos it distracts me from paying attention to the battlefield as a whole.

Well if the guy didn't tell you someone killed him, it would be possible for a humble insurgent to knife your whole squad. Highly unlikely, but still possible.

I might try that someday, if it's fixed. 8)

For the black screen issue, we could play pong while we're dead.

HAHHAHA I was about to suggest make a black screen but add a pong game on it ;) LOL :D

EDIT: I can already see this. Half of the team playing pong and not spawning :)

I Find TS To get too Hectic for my liking, as there can be 10+ speaking at once. Rather then the 6 (7+ Commander) On BF2
Rico11b: Better than that just take the body out of the game all together, and we'll have floating heads in game.

NOOO, no more teabagging. :' [

My simple immature in a otherwise mature environment. Shed a tear everyone.

TS that isn't admin'd soon will descend into chaos.
