bigger maps
ok so i know that most people think that kashan is huge and it is, but i think that a bigger map could make teamwork esential to winning. would it be possible to make a 6x6km map?

haah but you understand that you are as good as dead if you are in a team with noobs... i think its a good idea but also think that there must be much vehicles at the spawns too travel arround. and also planes.. maybe the plane where i made a topic about. the mutch seat plane with spawn. i think that plane fits good in a huge map

8x8 kilometres
The problem is that the bigger, the less detailed the terrain. And also, above 4x4, I think terrain colouration does not work correctly outside the middle of the map.

you want us to make a realistic, modern combat naval battle? please.... You would need a 50x50km map at the smallest, 100% sea, new low pollie ships and then lots and lots of missiles. All it would be is missiles flying 50kms and hitting the other ships, boom, dead. No fun....77SiCaRiO77 wrote:or a naval batle![]()

Btw one n00b is enough to kill a whole squad in your plane. I saw it with helis a couple of times.

I dunno how anyone else feels, but unless were making some airfield defence map with loads of air and AA and all one team has to do is nail the other teams airfield, I don't think maps need to be much bigger then Kashan most of the time. Players are sparse enough on Kashan AND some smaller maps if you ask me.
It's probably a realistic portrayal of modern combat not to have 1000 people crammed into a couple of kilometres squared, but I think the balance we have with most of the maps we have at the moment (taking air and armour and such into account) is as far as it should go. Until we crack 256 player servers of course.

There is the map Jabal 64. Pretty big and nice-looking, the only problem is that if your team screws up at a point, you might have to walk a long way. Fortunately I'm usually blessed with good squadmembers on that very map, so we can joke around while we're stranded in the middle of nowhere.
We have that map, Kashan, Zatar, Al Kufrah and probably we're going to have a big Russia vs Chine tank map in the next version. I say it's just good as it is right now.
