This is a screenshot from battlefield 2 beta version

Look at the fallen soldier in the centre of the picture. His weapon is lying near him. It looks like it was in BF2 beta but it was removed for some reason (like many other good ideas).

I don't Mind the kits at the moment, Except that the US/MEC/PLA Kit drops look too small to carry all that equipment, they need to be larger like British Ones.
However I'm sure this weapons thing would work with Insurgents/Militia, since they have few weapons on there kits anyway.

Rico11b: Better than that just take the body out of the game all together, and we'll have floating heads in game.

The problem is that if we want to achieve some level of realism there shouldn't be dropbags coming out of a player's *** like they do now. I also wonder if it is possible to keep the kit geometry (helmets, pouches, backpacks...) on a dead/critically wounded model so it doesn't vaporise after a few seconds.

I realy think PR devs need to think twice befor saying NO to such a grate idea i see it very realistic and also it can be a good advantage on other mods .... i mean now the dead guy drops kitbag out of his *** with kit name on it, did you see in reality someone dead soldier drops kitbag out of his body ? this is enough to see weapon to know what kit is that i mean: if the dead guy was ANTI TANK kit so you guys can do it so he drops out not his rifle but his Anti tank tube ..

I guess I will have to repeat my self.
This was already tried before by me in a test build with all the testers and as I said, it has issues in a dedicated server. It doesn't work as it's supposed to.
We want this, but it doesn't work as posted by the initial poster.
