Kashan Desert Day 1, 2 and 3
I'm very fond of Kashan Desert map but if played too much even that map will sometimes get little boring.
So what about designing series of maps according to days like old Desert Combat map El Alamein was? First day was very jet oriented, second with only choppers and third without any airsupport, only tanks and other land vehicles.
Now there is Kashan 64 and 32 player versions - which basicly are just two different versions of 64 player map - and they are quite like those El Alamein 1st and 2nd days. They could be tweaked giving them clear distinction from each other, add that 3rd day and rename maps according designated day.
Just an idea, specially addressed for Kashan dedicated servers.

but there will be choppers right..Jonny wrote:Or overlapping maps!
One side gets pushed back to rear bases while the other is advancing through the enemies old positions of the last map!
It could be from the sea, up a large river flanked by forests, around a town and several villages and finally a mountainous area where the majority of the enemy forces were originally stationed. ie a huge kyongan ni over several maps incorporating a delta.

Brilliant! Devs - really consider this one!Jonny wrote:Or overlapping maps!
The way it would work is that each map would have something similar from the old map.
For example, take a map like EJOD desert:
http://guide.realitymod.com/index.php?t ... JOD_Desert
Note the town at the far south of the map where one of the teams starts.
You could create a series of maps that lead up to a certain point. So in this case the map before EJOD Desert would be another map with the same terrain. In that map, the town that is in the far South of EJOD desert would be in the far North.
This way you can create some continuity between maps. It would be really very very cool.
I would recommend you don't do more than 2 maps per group because 3 maps could be a little much for players.
This would also work amazingly well for the PR Tournament because they could choose the map based on who won in that battle. If the US started at Map A and managed to push the MEC back to Map B, then the MEC pushed US back to Map A - it would be considered a stalemate. But that's just for the Tournament.
Re-using a portion of the same exact layout for the maps could create an awesome connection and make the player feel like they are part of a large storyline.
