Yeah and someone needs to update the media section with some new videos and pictures. As well as getting rid of all the old ones with the old camo on the Marines and British.

Very nice.
nice idea with the "photo" but think you should still use the minimap for these
you can find them in the maps client.zip/hud/minimap/ingamemap.dds
Nice idea with the little bit on the bottom ticking boxes for whats on the map, was thinking doing of something simmliar for v0.7 but will post it here
As some maps are not 100% symmetrical, we can just make a list of stuff with icons I was thinking. So for exsample, you would have 2 colloms, "Team 1 Assets" and "Team 2 Assets" but name them as "British Assets" and "Chinese assets" for exsample.
Then under them you have a list, with icons of what weapons they have, we can just use genral APC, Tank, AAV etc icons for each side, or if you wanted to be really crative could make lots for each team but that would take a huge amount of work, then beside the icon you would have the amount they are, for example: *tank icon* x2
Tell me if you dont understand, can draw something up if you need
Also probaly best if we get rid of the mappers name on the loading screen, looks cleaner, and also have Size: XX and GameMode: ---- etc

Yeah Rhino, I know what you mean. Was thinking the exact same thing when I was doing it about if the map wasn't symmetrical. Although, personally, I think that the in game picture looks better than the minimap. I might do a comparison shot, one with the in game picture, one with the map, and see what people think.
As for topographical maps. They're easy enough to do, but do they look good is another question. It might get a bit messy and hard to read when you put players and map icons all over it... Here's an example, but its missing a compass and contour interval (which is 10m btw).

You need to remove the image and use various shades of green to indicate forest denseness. Buildings should be black and roads...pink IIRC. How did you get the contour lines?AncientMan wrote:Yeah Rhino, I know what you mean. Was thinking the exact same thing when I was doing it about if the map wasn't symmetrical. More like this.
