i thougt on a realism mod, joining a team would be compulsory, i am fed up of games where there is lone wolfs and abosulte caos with 1 man trying to capture a base on his own. I much prefer coordinate and calculated caos/ mahem - much funner (in teams) !

Hey Gents,

I am going away on a snowboarding trip for a bit. I was going to try and get 1.02 done before leaving.

However... given the appearance of the TBF2 article and an influx of new players, I think it would be unwise to throw in a required download right now (that I've rushed to get done hehe).

So I would recommend 1.01 on the test server and play da shit outta the custom maps... will really help peak people's interest to play on the custom maps (mod or vanilla .. the stock maps are jaded). Up to Fritz and I am sure he'll listen to feedback.

Hope you guys have fun on the weekend! Am a bit jealous but given there is 300cm of powder calling out to me.......

Sorry, don't want to require 2 extra downloads.. PM me if you have another version of your map to put up on the test server on perhaps Sunday, btw.

Its Nikovs map, Ill ask him about an updated version..

damn shame this cant be played with alot of people.

ARgh El Alamein is going to be so freakin annoying on saturday :crazy:

Also, Do you think we should have a decresed spawn time? I can just imagine the amount of people spawning and dying immediately, would completly ruin thew game IMO.

I think if anything, an INCREASED spawn time. 50 second spawns.

but thats just me (and im thinking of the custom maps, not vanilla).

I think I agree with increased spawns ?


50 secs is enough to get a drink and roll a cig :-)

The map rotation I have set up now is:

0: "the_oasis" gpm_cq 16
1: "sharqi_peninsula" gpm_cq 16
2: "el_alamein_xxl" gpm_cq 16
3: "gulf_of_oman" gpm_cq 16
4: "jungle_fever" gpm_cq 16
5: "mashtuur_city" gpm_cq 16
6: "steel_thunder" gpm_cq 16
7: "zatar_wetlands" gpm_cq 16
8: "cp_abadan" gpm_cq 16
9: "songhua_stalemate" gpm_cq 16
10: "strike_at_karkand" gpm_cq 16
11: "strike_at_karkand_2" gpm_cq 16

Map Auto Sizer is enabled, so the map will be:
- 16size with up to 15 players
- 32size with up to 31 players
- 64size beyond 31 players

I've also decresed man down time to 25s and spawn time to 30s.

I've also increased the player limit to 40. If anybody thinks it should be 64, let me know. I'll need to turn off battlefield recorder for that.

Let me know if you have any suggestions.
