give IED insurgent binoculars
im still kind of surprised that the IED insurgent doesnt have binoculars. i really hate having to be so close to the vehicle im trying to blow up so that i can see if hes driving over my ied or not. i think in real life an insurgent would be some distance away watching with binoculars.

many people don't play civi in .7 now due to the civi getting more of a penatly rather than the other team, running back to the same spot takes a long time, and this means the insurge dont have no spotter momentarily even if they do decide to use mic and spotgclark03 wrote:The insurgents need more binoculars in general, because 80-90% of people don't actually use the civilian class for spotting targets.

I think I've seen 2 guys as civilians since .7 began. Insurgents don't "really" need them any more to be honest; if you live long enough to 'bleed', you're likely to already be a war vet, or have a British kit for bandages handy.

Agreed! If civi's could get maybe a sprint boost or a another weapon to use(Like a knife?) More people would play them.Expendable Grunt wrote:I think I've seen 2 guys as civilians since .7 began. Sprint Boost? As far as I know, their sprint time was increased from v0.6DavidP wrote:Agreed! If civi's could get maybe a sprint boost.
Had a couple of civilians out-sprint 3 of my squad members. Must be the Nikes.

That's a good idea. They're loadout is rather limited, and I would imagine ambushers would need to know if it's clear to go out and set up his IEDs.
Off-topic:I still love playing civi in Basrah. A longer spawn time, and the inablity to request limited kits for the civi-killer seem pretty critical, so I'm sure to be civi with my binocs out, coaxing people to fire at me.
And when I'm near my fellow Insurgents, if they need health, it is handy, and I always get a radio thanks. You can't raise the dead as a civi, but you can save an RPG-man's life!

I'd actually like to see the Ambusher class be broken up into two different classes; one with detonator IED's and anti-infantry trip IED's, and another kit with detonator IED's and an IED like .6's mine -- the "large" IED I mentioned in my "Insurgency" thread.
