For helicopters only. lol. No wonder it's so messed up.

I don't know. :( Maybe today, maybe next week, or maybe bf2 engine won't allow us to have full stabilization. I really don't know, doing the best I can thou.

But yaw stabilizator is already done ;)

Alright! but i don't understand why Dice didn't fully implant it when they do have the code.. maybe there was no time for it

And when does DICE do something that looks good or at least is useful ???
And why don't they release a new patch for BF2 bugs...???
And why are they doing stuff that they are doing ???

Lots of questions...
Zero answers...

its financialy not worth the effort.
theres no need to deliver 100% satisfaction, its not even possible and proportionaly it costs vast more than 80%.
80% and a few patches to 85% satisfaction works fine, the costumer is just "almost" perfectly happy and will buy your next product.
thats what counts.

admire your work mosquill, cant wait to try it out!

Or actually wasn't the tank video a Yaw demo?

I was just noticing that the .50 cal MGs on top of the tanks are stabilized quite a bit...

Thanks, that actually might help, "quite a bit" works as well, gonna check it out right now. I'm trying to find a vihicle with non-buged stabilizer and if I will, i'll just look at how it's made and do the same.

And btw PR vehicles are probably not the ones i'm looking for, if anyone would know how to make a good stabilizer, it would probably be dice.

Yep, it pretty much was. You probably won't see any difference between that stabilizer and the current one, the differnce is in how it feels and controls.

lol :lol: ask dice, nice one.
Maybe i'll also ask them to make a new patch, to implement trackIR support, to make freelook not locking your controls, to make a 128 players server and so on. :lol:

Jonny wrote:post the info you have about the M1A1 system, including masses, accelerations, angular accelerations, etc and me & Nedlands will have a look at it.
I'm not actually tuning it the way you probably think, so I don't have such info. But ok, i'll make M1A1 stabilization and post it little later (too busy right now).

Jonny here's how to make US M6 AAV's stabilization (sorry if it's too late, I really had some urgent stuff to do):

USAAV_M6_Turret:
regulateYaw = "-0.3438/0"

USAAV_M6_hud_spring:
regulatePitch = "-0.3438/0"

USAAV_M6_barrel_base:
regulatePitch = "-0.3438/0"

USAAV_M6_launcher_arm:
regulatePitch = "-0.4011/0"

This should work, and unlike Abrams you don't need a driver to test it.

If You will change axis's max rotational speed, then regulateYaw(pitch/roll) should be recalculated. Use this formula:

RegulateYaw.X = -1 * 0.00573 * maxSpeed
regulateYaw.Y = 0 (I don't know what Y does, but formula won't work if you'll change it)

There are 2 bugs with stabilizers:
inverted side stabilization
and "bobble effect" (pitch bobbling while turning left or right)
Those are the only two problems I got.

PM me if you have any questions.

Unfortunately no. I'm doing the best I can, I've tried many things, made many(MANY) tests and still no positive results.

It seems just like if Dice guys made a mistake and put a "-" instead of "+" somewhere in the source code, and thats why regulateYaw/pithc stuff don't work as supposed to. I don't know if it's a bug or not, but thanks to that, complete stabilization looks unachivable. I'm still trying though, but don't expect wonders to happen.

oops wrong numbers, sry. Here's the right one's :
USAAV_M6_Turret: regulateYaw = "-0.955/0"
USAAV_M6_hud_spring: regulatePitch = "-0.955/0"
USAAV_M6_barrel_base: regulatePitch = "-0.955/0"
USAAV_M6_launcher_arm: regulatePitch = "-0.818571/0"
And the correct formula is:
RegulateYaw.X = -57.3 / maxSpeed
