these are the build in bf2 sound engine distance filters. but these filters doesnt work that good. far away doesnt really sound like far away ingame..
the air obstruction isnt high enough and the volume does a linear fade, instead a logaritmic one..

I'd much rather let the BF2 air absorption take care of that. Too many problems giving distant sounds to those, especially APC's.
