Will the smoke launchers are "necessary" since the most recent HMMWV's in service with the US Military are equipped with them. The HMMWV's role in combat has exceeded what it was originally designed for and it's performing tasks that you'd expect from a light armored vehicle such as a Stryker to take upon. In return the HMMWV has gone through major improvements in a short amount of time since the conflict started in Iraq and was also provided the necessities that perhaps an LAV better suited for these operations would be given. The model when finalized would be around 7000Tris, now that may sound high since it surpasses the recommended Poly/Tri count for the category of vehicle it’s suppose to correspond to in the BF2 engine, but those recommended numbers are from 3 years ago and most of us are able to handle a little above them. Plus I’ve been told that good LOD’s can compromise for this issue. Worse things worse I’ll remove one of the 3 smoke lunching platforms.[R-CON]GeZe wrote:Looks great!
Maybe remove the smoke launchers to cut down on tris? They are not necessary...

Just to add my two cents...
If it becomes any kind of problem, cut out what you need to. Its realistic enough and frankly anything is step up from the DICE model. I just think its a shame if this model didnt go in game because it had to high of a poly count or w/e.

Total engine shutdown, a la choppers?[R-CON]Cheeseman wrote:An M1151 Up-armored HMMWV can resist an RPG hit depending where it's hit, but for the sake of gameplay it should be completely disabled, but leaving the crew some time to evacuate the HMMWV.
