Driver/Commander view
Ok, any possiblity of getting a driver's view in the next release. Truth be told, even with a good gunner telling you where to go, it's hard as heck to see past the turret.
My idea is this: Using C, you can toggle between the driver's position for good visibilty to teh front, but not as good a situational awareness, and a commander cam for the 360 view, but like it is already, not easy to see wher you're going.
Kinda like BGF

The OP I believe is asking for a heads up position for driving the tank or an explicitly driver view for maximum vision driving the tank. The driver view would be under the turret and not blocked by it and would very much like the APC view but only lower. Strictly for moving the tank and maneuvering.
The Driver's current view seems to be more of a Tank Commander view position and can be blocked by either the gun barrel depending on how it's turned or can be blocked by the non-buttoned up position of the MG gunner's hatch.
I know it's not possible for the engine but if I could shut that damn MG turret position I would so the door wouldn't be in the way.
At any rate, there are times that I wish there was a direct driver view port for just driving but that's just a minor inconvenience I feel.

Hey if they can do opening hatches on the merlin they should be able to do a closing hatch on the tank, but what if their is a mg gunner in the tank how would you close the hatch? Would he just have to hold ctrl or will he get moved to some other position where he won't die from bullets but rather from tank shells?kilroy0097 wrote:The OP I believe is asking for a heads up position for driving the tank or an explicitly driver view for maximum vision driving the tank. Model would need to be changed on the hatch issue. But it should be!
No .50 cal on the outside, or make it a 4th position, with a 3rd protected but not crewman required position. But I'm totally off topic at this point.
I think a driver view is kinda pointless, but I'm not particularly against it.

I for one would like to see the return of the Commander controlled MG and optical turret. A buttoned up and motorized controlled MG on top that follows the Commander optical siting. That way a Driver could drive, a Commander could spot and take out infantry incoming and the Gunner could shoot the main cannon. You still have 3 man crews but none are exposed. It also means however that none of them could be an engy and so you have to call in Engy support to repair.
