Is that all it is? And when i left click i hear a little noise and thats it, what the point of left clicking? And am im right about the right click thermo?

It's probably for night maps. No night maps = no thermal imaging.
Figured it would look a bit like the current bleed out screen.

Thermal imaging only at night? what kind of **** is that, that should be changed.
And people always forget the attack chopper's.. i mean the change list says increased stabilization on all armored vehicles well i haven't try it out my self but the choppers doesn't have anything like that.. and thats exactly what it needs most.
And if tanks get thermal imaging so should choppers.

I was wondering why I couldn't find the smoke button, the gunner is usually busy shooting people to know when to deploy smoke, not to mention the driver in the tank imo tends to see enemy contacts more than the gunner.
half the time the gunner takes 10+ seconds to even acknowledge the dozen or so enemy contacts i point out, there's no way there going to deploy smoke as effectively than the driver.

Hmm ok.... so i dont understand really why the smoke thing has changed... And... do we even have a night map with tanks??? So whats the point of the thermo? i mean i do use the thermo to give a range for my gunner so he has a slightly better idea of where the target is, but what the hell does the left mouse button do???? lol, im angry i cant figure it out!

Your few and far between, my gunners are usually looking the other way when a tank pops up and is about to shoot us, smoke saved my life many times, i wouldn't trust a gunner with it at all unfortunately.Tef wrote:Man you guys are wrong, do you know how many times I have died because my driver wouldn't pop smoke and move. Now I can pop smoke and not die so much...
edit: not to mention, wtf am i supposed to do now as a driver, drive and point out targets that my gunner takes half a minute to shoot in the first place, if he has to deploy smoke, were doomed.

The easiest and most realistic solution is ...
*Dun dun dun*
... have the gunner and commander control the smoke
By that I justify it by
1) the gunner fires the turret mounted smoke grenade launchers
and
2) the commander controls the engine exhaust smoke generator which should create the release of 'smoke enveloping the tank' effect of 0.7 and earlier.

It's an important addition to cover quick retreats and support infantry compared to the gunner controlled version which is more suited for evading enemy armour and aircraft in open combat.Army-Technology wrote:Challenger 2 can also set a smoke screen by the injection of diesel fuel into the engine exhausts.
