Looking forward to valorize the need of a commander, I'd like to suggest removing the chat keys "k" and "j", this way every time a squad leader needs to talk with other leader he'll need to do it by talking to the commander first. I imagine that would be unreal (and totally unecessary) a soldier sending a mail to a squad leader located hundred meters of distance (knowing that every soldier owns a radio), or even to an enemy. Let keep only the "L" chat key, wich will pratically imply that every player needs to be in a squad to comunicate with other players, plus it won't prevent the comunication of a commander with voip problems. With this changes the teamwork will be improved and the fair play will increase.

No offense, but did you read any of the posts in this thread? Most players wanna be able to chat with their and the opponent team for numerous logical reasons.

Removing chat is dumb as heck, chatting has its place. I game with 2 other guys in the same squad regularly, and i have casual chat in that squad.

I also know when to shut up and give orders or receive them.

VOIP is best for receiving and giving squad commands hands down, Ive only ever found teamspeak laggy and broken, text chat is rarly checked by people outside their base because they have better things to do like get shot at, so its not causing any harm if people banter on it because I know I dont read it and I know most people I game with dont read it unless they are idol in the base.

each chat channel whether its VOIP or text has its place, disableing any of them just makes every ones life more difficult and alot less fun.

Brummy covered the meaningful points. It would be a terrible choice, detracting from PR without adding anything. Chat can be entertaining, and is always useful, removing it would just make people pissed off and serve no helpful purpose.

I suggest removing chat from the internets, it would save us a lot of time...
