Especially considering we have plethora of new weaponry that's only not in game because of that very reason.
Maybe I could help?

You can't see the right side of the rifle, whose to say it doesn't have a Black Jack Buffers or Krebs Custom lever? :)

I just posted over on game-dev about getting a new animator, but don't count on it.

Look at Americas Army, the lever isn't the easiest thing to move with the smallest of movements

The Ak-47 has automatic selection first, singleshot last.

If you are refering implying that the fireselector should be harder to change then all I can say to you is that it is a matter of training.

back on topic, Great job!

Actually, it's a matter of ergonomics. Unless you have an obscenely large (and strong) index finger, manipulating the safety without moving your hand off the pistol grip is not possible. To switch fire modes, either move your hand completely off the grip, or you rotate it so that your thumb can push the level down. Like Fart was saying, it's not a quick motion like changing firemodes on a Stoner design.

Anyways, ontopic again: 3D SIGHTS YAY!

well i think we should do it for the guns that have the sights done well, the others could stay with normal 2d sights, then in the future when the models get better they could switch from 2d to 3d. i really dont see a draw back if we can get a supression shader and 3d sights for most weapons.

why did the DEVs add a whole lot of new ironsights in .75? i personally thought the old ones were fine and that the new ones just look like the weapon warps while changing to it. Its just a small thing I've been wondering cause the weapon warping buggs me every time.

To make them look cooler and more realistic. The AK irons were horrible! Same with... well everything else. The spec op ones are now 1337!

Made another test video if someone's interested:
YouTube - Project Reality iron sights test #3

Think the eye is too far though, should be closer to the sights. But that's really not a problem.

Edit: try better quality here(&fmt=6) or, if it won't work for you, try here(&fmt=1 8)
