blood on clothes
Is it possible to put blood in more and more increasing amounts the more damaged a person is? It would help medics identify and heal injured people more effectively and realistically. It is also a lot more immersive and realistic than a health bar or just running around to everyone in the area with a health bag in my opinion.

The idea I came up with to implement it is to add a scripted effect like burning or bleeding when you get below a certain percentage of health and when you get back above it the effect disappears just add another effect but instead of burning just apply a decal. every time you go below a level it adds another decal. can we do this? I don't remember bleeding out in vbf2 (then again I haven't played a single game since I found pr) so I assume we can add effects.

Yeah this could add to the realism, you could remove the overhead health bars that medics see and replace them with blood stains on friendly team members. Sounds ArmA-ish but I like it. Hopefully this one isn't hardcoded. Maybe 3 skins could be made for each kit? After a certain drop in health, the combatant could be switched to a "second combat bloody skin" and when the health would fall even lower, to a critical point, a third skin could appear this one being "extra bloody stained combats". If skins can be applied with a simple kit request why couldn't they be applied when health falls under a certain number? (e.g. 50%) I guess this new "feature" would require a lot of work though, having to make extra skins for every faction and kit in PR.

Its only for asthetic purposes, and as such, it would not provide anything useful for the mod. I would rather have the devs focus their actions on Jonny's ballistics, or mosquill's 3-D Ironsights than have them sit here, commenting on how this is probally not even possible... But thats my opinion.

Well I'm medic and I see two guys prone on the ground, ones about to die and one is perfectly healthy. I would like to be able to tell the difference. every second counts when your a medic and being able to tell injured apart from healthy will greatly help. It's also better for realism and immersion than say, a magical bar over their heads.Fess|3-5| wrote:Why? It isn't PR's job to satisfy your gore-porn needs. If you want blood, use google, or a knife. This wouldn't help gameplay enough to justify it.
