How about a beta test map for us PR obsessive guys[R-CON]AfterDune wrote:Alright, I'm looking into it now.
I've copied the map 'kashan_desert' to 'kashan_nights', renamed everything what needed to be renamed and "put in" the night-stuff (with some help of Rhino, thanks for that).
All seems to work. I'll now test vehicles and such, see how that is.

NOTE: there is this "glow" under the vehicles. Trying to remove that at the moment
.
Many images.
When you're in the blackhawk, you have the black/white vision. Press "7" to turn off night vision, it'll be pitch black (almost), hehe. So always keep it on
. It's light enough to see the airstrips, though I haven't tried jets or anything.
Also note, in the last pic, the 50cal isn't showing. I don't know why. It's visible in third person, just not in first. Goes for all tanks, as far as I know.
But, for our testing purposes, that shouldn't be a problem, should it
.
I will now upload the map, so you can download it. I *hope* to get a testserver up and running as well

Have you made the convertion exactly like inthe tutorial? If yes then there is a part which you should ignore the part adds this HDR effect which illuminates everything around the player/vehicle.
Anyways very nice but are you able to play the map with the current PR shaders?! Or have you tried to play it with the BF2 ones?
EDIT: Thats true rhino lol.
Do you have a huge active infra-red emmiter on the NVGs in PR or why are all vehicles glowing like that?
You need to ignore and delete the HDR part.

Just lights at the mainbase, and light dots on the runway and maybe on the helipad. Lights at the bunker complex's gates and inside the bunkers and maybe aside the road.agentscar wrote:I would like this map downloadable, and test/server for it,hehe.
And lights on places like, runway, hangers, main base bunker, outpost bunkers, and that's about it.OH,and lights inside the bunkers in the South/North Bunker complex.
But no lights at the villages or the outposts.

Remember this is only a try-out, to see how night-fighting would be on Kashan
. If it is as cool as we think it is, we can of course add things to it, but I do think the PR team should approve any changes.
I set up a server for it, but when I tried to join, I CTD'd at 62% every time. Server was still running though. No error message in windowed mode either.
We'll look into it, I'm sure we can find out why I crash. Local server works perfectly.
