Returning kits

Post by smee »

Would it be possible maybe to have a return kit feature so that if you take the wrong kit you could change/return it so that kits not out of the game for 5mins or would that be too crazy .

then noob-player1 comes along, steals jet, crashes it, 5mins later and im stuck at base with a crewman kit that i have to use in the mobile AA instead. Fun!!

ok, but how whould you check if it is : oops the wrong kit, or, ok i take this one, one no now better this one, and so on...

I should be nicer, if the SL can say, ok this guy of sq is pilot, this one medic, and so on...

How often we have guys with a great kit, but cant handle it and so fuck up the full squad...

100% agree with smee on that. That would be a very very good addition to PR.

With a little bit of tweaking it could be perfect. I thought about a time you have to wait for returning the kit.

I'd like to see this implemented, but I'd assume it'd take a lot of work. But I've had plenty of squadmates pick the wrong kit, so I'd hop out and request the kit for him.

Good Idea taken teh wrong kit alot of times its like takes teh pilot kit and then SL asks you to be gunner in a tank its not fun standing at the bunker waiting for a kit when everyone waits.

I found this sentence quite funny and since this is a war game forum I will put it here. No offense to the french just a good laugh.

Good idea. Only problem I could forsee is someone seeing a tank, grabing HAT, shooting, then returning.

As long as you have to return them to places where you could request them from this seems like a pretty good idea to me.

I'd be nice if the limits were implemented for individual bunkers, firebases, flags, APCs etc somehow too. So 1 bunker only held one L-AT and sniper kit but perhaps not limit spec ops due to them needing to be utilised in numbers. But for stuff like APCs I reckon you should only be able to request 1 auto rifle, grenadier etc. Not so sure about bunkers and firebases but there should be something stopping the APCs being able to hand out loads of gear (not that it gets exploited too much at the moment but I can imagine it does).

hmm that sounds fairly sensible but it would nevertheless need auditing for realism and game play reasons but fire bases and bunkers would be pretty cool with specific weapons being limited.
