Grenades Need More Power
This really needs to be adressed. In 0.75 grenades are useless. In real life grenades have a kill radius of 5-10 yards and a casualty radius of up to 50 yards but in PR you'll be safe from grenades as long as you're not trying to get killed. Seriously I once had a grenade go off 4-5m away from me and not even take any damage.
Who else thinks grenades are under powered.
PS. Will someone please tell me how to make polls?

I think they are really underpowered. Here's an example why:
I was on the insurgent side on Al Basrah last week when I saw an entire squad of Brits run into a building. I stood outside the entryway and threw 2 grenades in. Then I ran in to survey the damage..... Big mistake! I was instantly cut to pieces from 4 separate assault rifles. They had all survived! IRL, there's no way they'd be alive. There were 4 of them in a small room with 2 grenades. This needs to be fixed.

As ever, my response is that they should be implemented realistically. Right now if you toss one into a house you can't garentee that it'll clear that floor, which is a bit rubbish, though I do appreciate the problems of spam.
The key to modernising any weapon is covering them in glue and tossing them in a barrel of M1913 rails until they look "Modern" enough.
Many thanks to [R-DEV]Adriaan for the sig!

Grenades in 0.75 are really useless... It was enough with decreasing the throw distance, and adding deviation to the throws. But the decrease of blast radius is overkill IMO

Grenades do need to be beefed up a tad. I really liked the shrapnel idea som1 had (that a grenade would spawn a bunch of projectiles) but it lagged horribly.
Perhaps the supression effect from grenades should be increased instead? Better a dazed enemy and no grenade spam than one dead enemy but an exchange of ubergrenades that kills 90% of everyone there.

Agreed. I enjoy how its not so spammy, which is always needed in games, but I would like to see them as effective as they are in RL, AND less spammy.. Can;t I have both? :'([R-MOD]Bob_Marley wrote:As ever, my response is that they should be implemented realistically. Yeah, that was me. I was going to mention that but I see you did it first.Dr2B Rudd wrote:Grenades do need to be beefed up a tad. I really liked the shrapnel idea som1 had (that a grenade would spawn a bunch of projectiles) but it lagged horribly.
Well, the main issue with grenades is their lack of shrapnels. If we could somehow generate shrapnels it would be very, very good.
