tanks must have NVG - but normal troops... do you think it's possible to just add the NVG to the squad leader's "soflam"?

and FULL MOON would make the desert quite bright - it should be that bright to be able to see movement just with the binoculuars - is it possible to add randomized stars?

tanks: night vision
squad-leader: soflam with nightvision
rest: no night vision
No night vision for grunts? Might as well throw the map away then. In reality it might indeed be as you say, I wouldn't know, but gameplay wise, it would certainly take away all the fun.

play the map when its dark(er) in ur room and you don't even need a NV. Its still better you keep one on but you don't have to.

Its better to keep the NV for everyone.

Server has been updated with Dr. Rank's fixes. Servername changed to ".:iGi:. Community Server".

Put the files Dr. Rank made inside your server.zip. Or, if you don't know how or you're just lazy, lol, download this and put it in your 'kashan_nights' folder: http://thirdforces.internationalconspir ... server.zip

so are you guys considering increasing the view distance past 200m? right now it is way too small, it should be back to what kashan day is and just have the lightmaps and sky.con files changed so it is a night map.

The view distance has been updated? (don't know to how far though) Have you tried the new version I put online yesterday?

Keep NVG button the same for all kits, replace mines and hooks for Soflams. Nobody uses mines or hooks in a desert anyways.

The US Army almost never go into combat with out NVGs, they cost less that $4000 each so they are not rare when the US spends countless trillions.

also;
Map looks ace.

Already done. Just download the latest files. Don't need to redo the lightmaps.

Remove the shotgun from engineers, put mines instead of it and keep NVG on "9"

All the better. We could make this an infantry only map(16p version with maybe some armor).
