Hell yeah
, i'm for adding "allah akbar" sound to Insurgents when they fire a RPG / blowing IED, this sound effect would give the game more realistic atmosphere, just would be awesom!

eh? shout of joy?HellDuke wrote:Lol.. in AAO there is a seperate button for hoah which makes me believe it's a pointless shout of joy, satisfaction or something. Whereas wilco is as i believe a British way to say roger...
maybe
the thing with Hooah is, It means everything except "No"(by definition)
though most of the time it's used as agreement and roger.. much like wilco

One thing I can't stand about the sounds is that the USMC SL says "follow me soldiers!" which is wrong because a Marine is not a soldier, he is a Marine.
Don't change the CO sounds though, he sounds like a badass Charleston Heston.

Yeah, i think we should try and get every sound we can changed to an origonal PR sound, or at least non-BF2 default...Except "Hostile wheelebarrow spotted! Haha!"
I think the british voice overs are mostly in need of a change, because (I assume from the lack of quality and accuracy) the EA voice overs for the british are intentionally insulting.
Riegonal accents FTW!

The MEC, and PLA are bad too. There are many sounds that the other naitons use that most do not hear because our ears are not tooned to their speach. IE it's the number one reason for the military recruiteing service to grab at least a few people who can act as translators and most often have blood ties to the nation they will work in.[R-MOD]Mongolian_dude wrote:Yeah, i think we should try and get every sound we can changed to an origonal PR sound, or at least non-BF2 default...Except "Hostile wheelebarrow spotted! I mean the biggest thing about DC was that the Arabic was the type they use in Iraq. It makes all the difference to have a real native speeker doing a voice rather then some imatator who may or may not use the right tones or forms of expression for the Voice over.
Asian expression is vasty different then Western EU, or US expression not just in body language but in the way they speak as well. It may seem annoying to some, but hearing the right words with the correct expression behind them can be all the more meaninfull to the player.
IE RO :O ST did this perfectly with real Russian Voice actors, and German Voice actors as well. It's why it sounds so much better then what EA had in BF1942, or BF2142. It was the real deal. IE I loved it because I could tell the difference in the expressions of a voice from a German to a Russian it's sublte but it is there.

One thing I would like to see changed is how some of the responses to a command sometimes seem un-enthused, we are playing as motivated and dedicated Marines. A Marine would always sound charged and ready to go in the battlefield, and would never give a half assed ok.

Also Ghost, :-/ sorry to say I don't know anyone from ND, or know how their accent is different there.
if you guys have any Ideas, especially Brits; Please go ahead and try to find the means of recording some sounds on your own.
If you would like me to EQ the recordings for you so they sound better I would be more than glad to.

More guns and bullets make bad guys go away faster,
which in turn makes everyone in the area safer.
