i would agree with nightwolf but i disagree. It kills the game, innocent people get killed, setting the team behind after a good hours work. That would piss me off, and it did, a couple of times. It ruins gameplay, but not always. If a new guy has questions i happily answer, last night i had a new guy who was very good, and i had no problem with him, but when a noobie comes in and starts doing shit even though were all telling him not to through VOIP and chat in caps, and he ignores it and does his own thing, well.... its gay.

Not everyone speaks english or reads it that well. The majority of those that do will not want to spend half an hour reading rather then playing a game.

If your new to the game then you are not aware yet if you will even bother playing it twice nevermind reading some boring text talking about things you dont even recognise the importance of

I'm willing to bet the majority of online guide clicks come through this forum from established players checking minor details, rather then the desktop link.



I think making an opening movie to the game briefly outlining important differences between this mod and bf2 would make the most difference to questions like 'what does the shovel do'

It would not have to be a pr for dummies guide necessarily, just showing a bunker being built with a shovel would get the point across, etc
