about the .50 im not decided yet . the ztz99 has a very complex system for the antiaircraft MG , and its fired from the inside . modeling it will add a few more polys , but it will unfair (but realistic)for game , since you wouldnt be able to kill the "comander" .

if I , however , dont model it and just left it like its now , the comander will have to expose almos half his body to shoot it(since the mg was placed high to have a better field of view) , witch will unfair again , but for the PLA :P .

yep, the current one (type 85) is realistic , since is most common HMG used in vehicles and all my ref pics , have it in the comander cupula.

gdgd, just use the POE2 tools to import it, then just keep it a separate model but just add the brackets onto it. Then when it comes to importing the 50cal will just be added as a child object :)

Not only do the Type 98 suck, it's also quite unrealistic to have it as the main tank of the Chinese. IIRC the Type98 wasn't used that widely before it was replaced with the Type99.

In other words: This is a wonderful update for the PLA of PR! Nice work, Sicario!

The type 96 is the standard MBT for the PLA ( the latest versions look pretty similar to the type 99 ) The type 99 will only equip certain divisions.

I hope so - Apparently the armour on them can take 7 125mm rounds and sustain very little damage - maybe not be true, but who knows. Alot of people put down the PLA, but Im pretty sure this would be a mean opponent to any western tank.

Source on the "7 125mm rounds"-thingy?

And yes, this one would cause a lot of trouble for any western tanker. It's powerful, uses a big and mean gun and moves very fast. Since its main opponent (at least with the current maps) is that British monster I think its only fair to give it all the advantages it has IRL.

Dont laugh - its on wikipedia. Theres plenty of sources which say the armour is equivlent to 1.2-1.5 of steel armour. Apparently it has ERA and cobham type armour as well.
If the tests were done with HEAT rounds then from my understanding of how they work, theuy cause very little damage on the external surface - its the inside which blows off and destroys the tank/crew - 7 rounds does sound like BS though.
Other cool things this tank has are laser countermeasures/warning system, which warns that its being targeted and can then blind enemy tanks and helicopters. It also carries 4 A-11 anti tank/helicopter guided missles - it would be great to have some A-11's on it in PR as well.
